Brunton Theatre supports those who take
part in the arts – those who just like to sit in the audience
and those who like to get more actively involved.
The Theatre is committed to creating and maintaining local partnerships with
community theatre, dance and music groups. By supporting voluntary arts activity,
the Theatre can play a key role in developing the local arts scene and create
opportunities for more people to become actively involved.
Since the Theatre was first built there has been a commitment to enabling local
amateur performing arts groups to stage their productions at the Theatre with
the support of the Theatre staff.
In addition, the Theatre develops projects that offer opportunities for the community
and arts professionals to work together. Projects include Moon over Musselburgh,
a community theatre project in collaboration with benchtours and Something You
Should Know a video and performing arts project for adults with learning disabilities
in collaboration with Lung Ha’s Theatre Company.
To find out more about how you can become involved in our projects, please call
administration on 0131 665 9900.
