Brunton Theatre receives annual funding from East Lothian Council.

The Scottish Arts Council supports the dance programme and also provides project funding for specific activities.

The Theatre refurbishment in 1996 was funded by the European Development Fund, Scottish Arts Council National Lottery Fund and East Lothian Council.

The Friends of Brunton Theatre actively fundraise for the Theatre. Projects funded include the Box Office system, external display cabinets and Brunton Youth Theatre.
